Kingspan Insulation’s high performance Thermataper TT47 LPC/FM insulation was specified as part of the new £4 million, award winning Jerwood Gallery
Situated amongst the unique Hastings net shops and on the edge of a working fishing beach, this prestigious Gallery was designed by HAT Projects
to create a permanent public home for the Jerwood Foundation’s Collection of Modern British Art, as well as showcasing a changing, curated programme.
Kingspan Thermataper TT47 LPC/FM
insulation was specified for the roof build up as the tapered insulated boards not only provided the required fall, but also delivered excellent U-values, and therefore formed an important part of the project’s energy saving performance.
Hana Loftus on behalf of HAT Projects commented “We were tasked by the client to create a robust and energy efficient building within a relatively limited budget. We took care to fully specify the project to ensure that compromises were not made on the quality or performance of the products used.”
“We consult technical staff for all products we specify, including Kingspan. I recommend Kingspan to my colleagues as the product literature is clear and their technical department is always available to answer any questions I have.”
Suitable for both new-build and refurbishment projects Kingspan Thermataper LPC/FM Systems have a range of facings allowing them to be installed under most waterproofing and green roof systems. Fitted in various thicknesses between 30 and 165mm, the boards are factory tapered and pre-mitred to provide an intrinsic roof fall. This eliminates the need for structural falls in the design and prevents water-ponding and its associated problems, which could reduce the design life of a roof.
