Kingspan Insulation has had its home on the airfield industrial estate between Pembridge and Shobdon since 1986 and over the past two decades it has gone from strength to strength. The site is now the largest of its kind in the world. During 2007, Kingspan Insulation opened a new manufacturing facility just outside of Sherburn-in-Elmet, North Yorkshire. The business contributes positively to the local economy and community whilst being extremely mindful of its impacts on the wider environment.
Kingspan Insulation, however, recognises the need to involve itself with the activities of the communities in which it is based.
To this end, Kingspan Insulation has set up the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust, which considers funding requests for environmental, biodiversity, healthy recreation and road safety projects based around the three parishes of Pembridge, Shobdon, Kingsland and Sherburn-in-Elmet.
